Belarusian children are being taught to fight saboteurs

A command and staff exercise is taking place in the Mogilev region from June 16 to 18. The main focus is on working out the actions of the territorial defense and the people’s militia. That is, they involve not only military personnel, but also ordinary citizens. Meanwhile, the republican stage of the military-patriotic game “Zarnichka”, which was attended by elementary school students, has recently ended in the Brest Fortress. The military is proud that the system of such competitions includes children from 9 to 16 years old. Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting on animal husbandry on Tuesday and stressed that if Belarusians do not want to fight, they should work properly.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus explains that the purpose of the large-scale command and staff exercise in the Mogilev region is “to improve the skills of officials in leading subordinate territorial defense forces, train personnel to perform their duties in full–time positions when solving territorial defense tasks, and assess the readiness of territorial troops units to solve their tasks.”

During the exercises, issues of protection and protection of various facilities, as well as the fight against enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups, are being worked out. At the same time, martial law measures are planned to be implemented with the use of militia units.

Thus, the most ordinary workers should be ready to stand as an indestructible wall in the way of the enemy as soon as such a need arises. And the skills they will acquire during the three-day exercises will certainly be useful to them if necessary to neutralize enemy saboteurs.

It is significant that the Ministry of Defense attracts not only adults, but also very young Belarusians to active military training events.

The Telegram channel of the department reports: “The closing ceremony of the republican stage of the military-patriotic game “Zarnichka” took place at the Brest Hero Fortress memorial complex. For three days, the best Octobers from all over the country competed in speed, agility, attentiveness and wit.”

It also contains a comment by Colonel Vladimir Ignatik, head of the Department of Moral and Psychological Support of the Main Directorate of Ideological Work of the Ministry of Defense, who paints an impressive picture of literally all-encompassing military training.

“The leadership of the armed forces is building a unified system of military sports games in the Republic of Belarus. As part of this task, such games as “Zarnichka”, “Zarnitsa”, and “Eaglet” are held, which cover the age category from 9 to 16 years old. This year, for the first time, the military-applied game “Breakthrough” was held nationwide, but with student youth. Thus, at the moment, within the framework of the state program of patriotic education of the population for 2022-2025, we can say that we have built a unified system of military sports games that includes various age categories of our children and youth.”

It turns out that Belarusians, even without becoming full-time military personnel, have a unique opportunity to practice the necessary skills of protecting the fatherland from any hostile encroachments from childhood to gray hair, starting with the “Lightning Strike” and ending with the people’s militia.

It should be noted that the law “On the People’s Militia” was adopted in 2023. The President personally initiated the creation of these units. Similar groups are formed at each village council on a voluntary basis.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Alexander Lukashenko visited the countryside again to tell its residents how they should live and work, so that later they would not have to apply the very skills that are being practiced at the exercises.

The President held a field seminar in the Minsk region on the basis of one of the dairy complexes of JSC Agrokombinat Dzerzhinsky. And Lukashenko immediately made it clear that for him animal husbandry is also a front for confrontation and potential intervention, and mismanagement with sloppiness. Moreover, the second, judging by his statements, opens the gates to the first.

“Today you have everything to organize the production and processing process. Joking aside. I repeat once again: if you don’t want to sit in the trenches and breed lice in the mud, let’s work,” the head of state stressed. – Compliance with technology and military discipline. You have been given all the rights. If we don’t want war, then we need to work properly. We need to get products and sell them. We need to be honest about this work.”

And a little later he returned to the military topic again, drawing the attention of agricultural leaders to the alarming international situation and noting how the importance of food suppliers is increasing in the era of conflict. However, the president stressed that profiting from them is not the policy of Belarus. Nevertheless, he noted: “And without wars, people need to be fed. This means that the demand for food and clothing will only increase (and clothing is also made from the ground).”

But the president’s military associations did not leave it at that. And he informed the audience: “That’s why I decided to invite you. Because I see that we have a decent amount of non–compliance. I decided to enroll in the military.” And continued: “We had a good formula in the army, “do as I do.”
